What Mingora actually runs on

Mingora is the market town of Swat: fruit orchards, the famous Swat emeralds, marble, and above all tourism, which returned strongly and fills the valley's hotels every season. The University of Swat and expanding motorway access have pulled the valley closer to the rest of the country. The tourism and orchard economies are both digitisable from within: hotels and guesthouses compete on online presence, and Swat's peaches, apples and honey are exactly the goods that sell nationally when someone brands and ships them properly. Formal IT employment is minimal; the digital trades above, plus remote work, are the honest routes.
