How to become a Python developer
A Python web developer builds the parts of a website or app that users do not see: the logic, the database and the API the front end talks to. In Pakistan much of this work is done with Django, a Python framework that handles a lot of the routine for you.
Below is the route we teach, in four stages. Each one names the free course to begin with and the programme that takes you further.
What the work pays: the entry figure we sourced is Rs 38,190 to Rs 101,116 a month across Pakistan (12 salaries), read on 3 August 2026. Source More on Python careers in Pakistan.
The route, step by step
Step 1: Language
Learn Python itself, then learn to organise code into classes and objects. This is what lets a program grow without becoming a tangle.
Skills: Python, Object-Oriented Programming.
Start free: Python for Beginners, OOP Fundamentals, Django Basics
Go deeper: Python Programming, Full Stack Web Development (Python)
Step 2: Web
Learn enough HTML and CSS to build a page, then learn Django, which turns your Python into a working website with users, forms and an admin panel.
Skills: HTML & CSS, Django.
Start free: Web Development Basics
Go deeper: Full Stack Web Development (Python)
Step 3: Data & interfaces
Store data properly in a database such as PostgreSQL, and expose it through a REST API so a mobile app or another website can use it.
Skills: PostgreSQL, REST APIs.
Start free: PostgreSQL Basics, APIs
Go deeper: Full Stack Web Development (Python)
Step 4: Shipping
Professional code is tested, tracked in Git and debugged methodically. These habits are what employers check first when they look at your work.
Skills: Git & Version Control, Testing, Debugging.
Start free: Git and GitHub Basics, Testing and TDD, Debugging Skills
Go deeper: Python Programming, Advanced Python
Questions
Do I need to learn JavaScript as well?
For back-end work, Python is the core. A little JavaScript helps when you build complete sites, and our full stack programmes cover it.
What should my first project be?
A small website with users and a database: a booking system, an inventory list or a blog with comments. Put it online and keep the code on GitHub.
How this route was put together: Assembled from the published BvLogic curricula and, where a course is mapped to a NAVTTC national standard, from that standard's own competency list. It is not employer research: no employer in the pipeline has been researched for skill demand yet, and until that happens this list says what we teach a junior to do, not what a named company has told us it wants.
