Read what each lesson covers
- What AI is good at, and what it is not. A good first-draft writer and a poor last word: hand over rewriting, summarising and drafting, and keep facts, company numbers and decisions yourself.
- Writing a prompt that gets a usable answer. A prompt is a brief with four parts: task, context, constraints and your actual input. Ask for three versions and keep refining rather than accepting the first answer.
- Email, replies and the messages you are avoiding. The six emails that repeat every week: the dreaded reply, the update, the chase, the apology, the introduction and the translation, each a first draft you can hand over.
- Notes, summaries and meetings. Rough notes become decisions, actions with one owner and one date, and open questions. For documents, ask specific questions, including what is missing.
- Checking the output before it goes out. Look for invented specifics, confident guesses about your own organisation and a tone that is not yours: one read for facts, one for tone, then send.
Who this course is for
- Office workers who want AI to take the first draft of email, notes and plans.
- Managers and team leads who want meeting records that lead to action.
- Anyone whose AI-written messages sound generic and wants them to sound like themselves.
