Read what each lesson covers
- Why most prompts fail. A weak answer is almost always missing information, not missing magic words. The model does not ask questions; it guesses and then commits to the guess.
- The four parts of a reliable prompt. Role, context, one task and constraints, including a standing rule not to invent any figure you have not given it.
- Showing examples instead of explaining. Two or three good examples fix tone, length, language mixing and habits far more precisely than a paragraph of description.
- Constraints, format and tone. Exact lengths, exact output formats with no preamble, concrete tone, a named audience, and negative constraints such as 'do not promise a job'.
- Chaining steps for longer work. Break a large job into steps and judge between them, so a wrong direction is caught at step one rather than after thirty posts.
- Reusable prompt templates. Keep a good prompt as a template with the changing parts marked, so replies stay consistent and a changed fee is fixed in one place.
- Testing and improving a prompt. Run every version against a fixed set of five to ten real cases, decide beforehand what good means, change one thing at a time, and keep the failures.
