LinkedIn Marketing · Lesson 1 of 5
Where business to business actually happens
Understand what this platform is for.
LinkedIn is where people make professional decisions, and that makes it different from every other social platform in one respect: the audience is there in a working capacity rather than for entertainment.
What that changes. Somebody scrolling Instagram is not thinking about suppliers. Somebody on LinkedIn is thinking about work, which means a post about a business problem is welcome rather than an interruption.
Who it is for. Anybody selling to businesses. Consultants and agencies. Recruiters and job seekers. Professionals building a reputation. And Pakistani freelancers and firms seeking international clients, which is where the largest opportunity is, because clients abroad look for suppliers here on this platform and very few are visible.
Who it is not for. Consumer products, local retail, anything where the buyer is a private person. A shop selling clothes belongs on Instagram and WhatsApp.
The organic reach is unusually good, which is unusual in itself. A well written post can reach far more people than an equivalent post elsewhere, because comparatively few people post and the platform still rewards text.
Which is the central opportunity here. In Pakistan the platform is used mostly as a CV that sits there, by people who log in when they need a job. Somebody who posts consistently about their work is competing with almost nobody, and that is a genuine advantage rather than an argument in a marketing course.
Search for your own service plus a Pakistani city on LinkedIn. Note how few people are actually visible for it.
LinkedIn پر اپنی خدمت اور کسی پاکستانی شہر کا نام تلاش کریں۔ دیکھیں اس کے لیے کتنے کم لوگ نظر آتے ہیں۔
