Read what each lesson covers
- Permission is the whole subject. Under Pakistan's Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, accessing a system without written authorisation is the offence; scope and permission come before any technique.
- Reconnaissance. Passive sources first, with certificate transparency logs the most productive, then careful active scanning of only what is in scope.
- The vulnerabilities that actually appear. Broken access control first, then injection, cross-site scripting, misconfiguration, outdated components and weak authentication.
- The tools, and their limits. Nmap, Burp Suite or OWASP ZAP, Nikto and vulnerability scanners find the known issues, but scanners report false positives and miss business-logic flaws; verifying and thinking about abuse is the work.
- Writing the report. Each finding stated, located, reproducible in two minutes, explained in business impact, with a specific fix and evidence.
Who this course is for
- IT and development staff who want to test their own systems properly.
- Security learners heading towards penetration testing.
- Anyone curious about hacking who needs to know the legal line first.
Using this in Pakistan
- Indeed's range for security analysts in Pakistan is Rs 31,834 to 112,351 a month, based on only three reported salaries, so treat it as a rough guide. Source
- Entry security roles advertised in September 2026 were in Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi rather than Faisalabad; even a Lahore SOC L1 internship required a Wazuh certification. Source
