3D with Blender · Lesson 1 of 5
Free, and behind a surprising amount of paid work
Know what this tool does and why it matters here.
Blender is a complete 3D package that costs nothing. Modelling, texturing, lighting, animation, simulation and rendering, in one program, with no licence and no subscription.
That matters more here than it does elsewhere. The commercial alternatives cost more per year than many people in Pakistan earn in several months, and their absence has kept 3D out of reach. Blender removes that barrier entirely, and the work it produces is used in advertising, product visualisation, films and games.
What people actually get paid for. Product visualisation, which is a photograph of a product that does not exist yet or cannot be photographed affordably. Architectural visualisation, which is in constant demand here. Animated logos and 3D elements for video. Assets for games. And explainer visuals that would be impossible to film.
Product visualisation is the practical entry point, because a local business with a product and no photography budget is a real client, and one good render is worth a photographer, a studio and a day.
It is genuinely difficult at the start, more than the other tools in this shelf, because 3D has more concepts than 2D: space, cameras, lights, materials, and rendering that takes real time.
The interface has improved substantially and the learning material is abundant and free.
Expect weeks rather than days to become useful, and expect the first month to feel slow, because everybody's does.
Pick one real object near you and plan to recreate it. A specific target teaches more than following general tutorials.
