Open AI related postings counted on Rozee, the skills named in the postings of the employers the academy has read, and what learners in Faisalabad choose when they take the academy's career test. Three views, kept apart.

Findings

AI related roles are a small share of open postings: the counts for AI engineer, machine learning, data scientist, generative AI and prompt engineering are printed below next to the general Python count, which is several times larger.

Evidence: From the academy's own records, counted when this page was opened. Counted on Rozee by the academy's monthly demand count, the month and the search page for each count printed in the table.

Of the employers whose postings the academy could read, the skills most often named for entry roles are not AI skills at all but communication, customer service, SQL, Excel and networking; Python and object oriented programming lead the technical list.

Evidence: Public source. Forty three employers read from their own careers pages and public job boards between August and October 2026; the method and each employer's sources are in the academy's employer research. Read 18 Oct 2026. Source

Much of what is public is senior: several large employers' postings ask for four or more years, so an entry level learner should read the junior counts, not the headline.

Evidence: Public source. Known limits recorded in the employer research: Careem, foodpanda and Royal Cyber postings required four or more years on the day they were read. Read 20 Aug 2026. Source

Learners lean towards AI automation: of the career tests taken on the academy's site, the largest group chose AI automation specialist, ahead of full stack development and design.

Evidence: From the academy's own records, counted when this page was opened. Career test results on the academy's site, counted when this page renders.

Supply outruns the junior openings: tens of thousands of IT graduates a year against a market that, by the industry body's own estimate, absorbs about 15,000.

Evidence: Public source. The Friday Times (75,000 graduates a year, citing a Ministry of IT document), the HEC (50,000 in 2022) and ProPakistani (P@SHA chairman on 15,000 a year). Read 18 Oct 2026. Source

What the academy sees

Evidence: From the academy's own records, counted when this page was opened. These are the academy's learners, not Pakistan.

Method

Posting counts: once a month the academy's system opens the public Rozee search page for each query and records the number of results the page states, with the date and the search address. Indeed refused automated reading (HTTP 403) and LinkedIn needs a login, so neither is counted; the method says so rather than guessing.

Employer skills: for each employer the academy read the company's own careers page and its postings on public boards, recorded only the technologies named in text it could read, and rated its confidence. Skills from generic guides were not attributed to any employer.

The academy's own view: counts from its career test and free courses, printed as what the academy sees, never as the market.

Questions

Why only Rozee?

It is the one large Pakistani board that lets a script read its result count. Indeed refuses automated reading and LinkedIn needs a login; the report says so instead of estimating.

Does a count mean a hire?

No. It is the number of open postings that mention the term on one day each month.

Where is the employer list?

On the academy's careers pages, each employer with the sources that were read.
